how to style a green suit

green is without a doubt the hottest color of fall 2021. thanks to new bottega’s daniel lee, green is just about everywhere. from accessories like boots and bags, to ready to wear and even hats, green is having a moment. alfred dunner is a brand that i LOVE. i think it technically is clothing made for professional women, including elastic band suit pants and loose, flowy garments, but that is my vibe so i love it. i recently stumbled upon on of their matching suits that have elastic pants (!!!) at the thrift store. the color i got at the thrift store was a beautiful lilac color, but i knew i needed it in bottega green. cue hours and hours of hunting on ebay until i found the green suit of my dreams!!!! i styled the entire suit, just the pants, and just the blazer below.

the full suit was SO easy to style. the green just makes whatever you pair with it look so, for a lack of a better word, fashion. and the elastic pants means i can take this outfit to even the longest of buffets and still feel like a million bucks. and i put on my new prada bum bag with it and it makes such a cute outfit!!! i can’t wait to wear this suit under a jacket too, omg that will be so cute.

styling green suit pants

the green suit pants are so, so easy to style. honestly you can pair them with ANY neutral and they work! the green isn’t really too cold toned but isn’t warm toned either. it’s such a pretty true green color that works with everything. i paired the pants with a very, very oversized grey button up and a black old celine bag and it worked perfect! the double oversized elements really made me look and feel so smol, lol, but i think it looks great.

styling a green blazer

the green blazer, surprise surprise, was also very easy to style. color blocking is hot hot hot this season so i decided to give it a try. the opposite of green on the color wheel is red, so i chose a pink pant to compliment the green pants (ready my post on color wheel dressing here). pair it with white cowboy boots and my painted fendi baguette, and BOOM, cute outfit. it does take some confidence to wear this outfit, as someone who may not know the color blocking is the most important thing this fall (i kid, obviously), you look a little bit like a children’s birthday party performer. but fear not! it is all about how you pull it off.
